Prof. Daniel Jaque

Daniel Jaque got his Certificate in Physics at Sussex University (UK) on 1994. In 1999 he obtained his PhD in Physics By the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. Except for his pos-doc term activity (focused nanostructured superconducting thin films) he has been mainly working on photoluminescence materials and processes covering from solid state lasers up to fluorescence bio-compatible nano-particles.

Setsuhisa Tanabe is Professor of Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan since 2008. He studied material chemistry and got degrees of BS, MS, and PhD all in Kyoto University. He was awarded from many academic societies, such as the Ceramic Society of Japan, the Chemical Society of Japan, the Rare-Earth Society of Japan, and so on, for his extensive studies on rare-earth doped glasses and ceramics for lasers, infrared-to-visible upconvertors and fiber amplifiers for optical telecommunication. He is the author of more than 100 original papers, 20 books, and 23 invited review papers as well as a 24-patents holder.
